Cha Gao is a concentrated beverage, offering a bold, rich flavor with woody notes and a smooth finish. It has a lasting, herbal aroma, and the infusion shifts from dark red to a deep brown color.
However, there is more to it than just taste. This tea resin also offers health benefits, such as regulating heart function, improving digestion, and boosting the immune system. Additionally, thanks to its unique compounds, Cha Gao provides an excellent energy boost, making it ideal for a morning cup to energize you for the day ahead.
To brew it correctly, follow these recommendations:
Remember that one Cha Gao ball constitutes a single serving.
Pour hot or warm water over the resin.
Stir gently to help it dissolve quickly.
Let it steep for 3–4 minutes.
To prepare it in a gaiwan, you need to:
use one resin ball for a 120 ml vessel;
quickly rinse the vessel to warm it up;
heat the water to 100°C and pour it in slowly over the course of 10 seconds;
repeat the brewing process until the drink loses its strength and flavor.
